You can transfer funds at any time from your Samsung Money by SoFi cash management account under
“Transfer”. Then, follow the step by step instructions below:
Linking account through Plaid:

Search for or Select the institution you’d like to connect to.
- Not all financial institutions are available through Plaid. Use the following instructions for Manually Linking an external account to Samsung Money by SoFi: to manually add an account.

Enter your online banking credentials associated with your external account.
- You may be prompted to leave SoFi’s app to do this. Don’t worry!—you’ll be back soon.

Once the account is successfully connected, you can fund your Samsung Money by SoFi account.
- Once the account is linked, it stays linked until you disconnect it.
Manually Linking an external account to Samsung Money by SoFi:
If you are unable to locate and link your account using Plaid, you may be able to connect your account manually by following the steps below. If you are not able to manually connect your account, you can fund your account by other methods and check back at a later time to see if your bank is available.
- Complete the steps for adding your account via Plaid,
- If you can't find your financial institution, click the x to close the Plaid Select your institution screen.
- Click Add account manually.
- Enter the information required to link an external account.
- Once all fields are completed, click Next.
- Click Done to complete the process.
Note: Your external account may require additional verification before it can link to Samsung Money by SoFi. Please refer to our Micro-deposits article.
Unlinking a connected bank account:
- Log in to your SoFi profile using the mobile app or website.
- Select the Banking tab.
- Click on the Transfer icon located on the homepage.
- Select To or From to bring up a list of your connected accounts.
- Select Edit.
